Having had front row seats to a full on revolution (in Iran, in 1979), this situation is scary, yes. US democracy doesn't have the strength and stability it used to. But this is not what a revolution looks like. It is pandemonium caused by hooligans, and it *will* settle down.

Learned that my daughter & friends have a game where they pick a town, a budget, & a pretend station in life. They then compete to see who can find the "very best" Zillow home/rental. Great way to learn about mortgages, rent, cost of living, etc. Looks like they aren't alone!

Existing-home sales rose to the highest level since February 2006. The national median sales price rose to $313,000.
These record sales levels are not “catch up” of lost demand. This increased demand to move seems to be evidence that a Great Reshuffling of where, and how, we live and work is underway. This reshuffling could be the defining cultural trend of the decade.
